Frequently Asked Questions
Choosing the right daycare for your child is a big decision, and we know parents usually have a lot of questions. Here are a few of the things families ask us most often. If you don’t see your question here, please reach out! We’re always happy to help.
About Our Care
What ages do you care for?
We welcome children from 6 weeks to 12 years old. We know every stage of childhood comes with different needs, so we make sure our routines, activities, and expectations are age-appropriate while helping each child feel comfortable, supported, and included.
What are your hours?
Stephanie’s Stars of Tomorrow is open Monday through Friday from 5AM-5:30PM. If you have questions about whether our schedule works for your family, feel free to reach out and we’d be happy to talk with you.
Do you offer full-time and part-time care?
Yes! We offer both full-time and part-time care depending on availability. Because openings can change throughout the year, we recommend reaching out to us to discuss the schedule you’re looking for.
A Day at Daycare
What does a typical day look like?
Our days are built around a mix of learning, play, creativity, movement, meals, rest, and plenty of time to just be kids. We include age-appropriate activities, hands-on learning, outdoor play when weather allows, and opportunities for children to learn and socialize with their friends.
Do you provide meals and snacks?
We provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks throughout the day. We want mealtimes to feel comfortable and enjoyable for the children while also offering balanced, kid-friendly options.
If your child has a food allergy, dietary restriction, or other special need, please let us know so we can discuss it with you.
Do the children go on field trips or special outings?
Yes! We love giving the children opportunities to learn and have fun beyond our regular daily routine. Throughout the year, we may plan age-appropriate field trips, seasonal activities, and special outings, such as visiting the Seneca Park Zoo and Strong Museum.
Parents are always given information ahead of time and any required permission forms before a child participates.
Do the children spend time outside?
Absolutely. Weather permitting, outdoor play is an important part of our day. It gives the children a chance to move, explore, get fresh air, and have fun together.
Communication, Health & Safety
How do you keep parents updated about their child?
We believe communication with families is extremely important. We want parents to feel connected to their child’s day and comfortable reaching out whenever they have a question or concern.
We keep families updated about important information, how their child is doing, and anything that comes up throughout the day.
What is your sick-child policy?
Keeping all of our children healthy and safe is very important to us. If a child is sick or showing symptoms that could affect the other children, we ask families to follow our illness guidelines before returning to daycare.
If you’re ever unsure whether your child should attend, just reach out and we’ll be happy to talk it through with you.
How do you keep the daycare clean and safe?
We regularly clean and sanitize toys, shared surfaces, and play areas throughout the day, and we encourage frequent hand-washing with the children.
Safety is part of everything we do, from supervising activities to maintaining a clean and comfortable environment where children can learn and play.
Tours & Enrollment
Can I tour the daycare before enrolling?
Of course! We encourage families to visit before making a decision. A tour gives you the opportunity to see the daycare, meet us, ask questions, and get a feel for whether Stephanie’s Stars of Tomorrow is the right fit for your child and family.
How do I enroll my child?
The first step is simply reaching out to us. We’ll talk with you about your child, the care you’re looking for, your preferred start date, and our current availability.
From there, we can schedule a visit and walk you through the registration process and any paperwork needed before your child begins.
Is there a waiting list?
Availability can vary depending on the time of year and the ages of the children currently in our care. We recommend contacting us as early as possible if you have a particular start date in mind.
If we don’t have an opening right away, we can let you know about future availability.
